“its the little details that matter. little things make big things happen.”

i have a problem. i tend to collect all sorts of things. i thought i’d share some of the things that help me enjoy the process of experiencing this world.

. Bags . Straps

i love bags. there isn’t a type of bag that I don’t like or use on a regular basis. backpacks, duffels, slings, fanny packs, hip packs - you name it, i probably have it.

lately i’ve picked up the hobby of customizing my bags (zipper pulls and handles) using paracord and also creating my own camera / gear straps too.

. Technology

since i was a kid, i’ve always loved technology. i can thank my dad for that since i often got his hand-me-down gear. he also didn’t seem to care when i would take apart anything that a screwdriver could handle. that vcr would never be the same again.

now days, its modern technology (oxymoron?), a toy box of sorts that continues to bring joy and wonder with each new innovation.

. Gear

while certainly camera gear is more and more reliant on new technologies and AI, well designed camera equipment and lenses hold a mechanical fascination for me. i think that’s why a tack sharp camera lens offers so much fulfillment when that moment in time is captured in full color clarity.

over the years, i’ve refined my kit down to what i believe to be an awesome core kit that works for me.
